I’m Fine Now, But I Am Waiting For My Doctor’s Order To Return Home – Buhari

Nigeria’s president, Muhammadu Buhari says he is okay and that the reason he has not returned home was that he needed to obey his doctor’s order.

According to Buhari, he wished to return home, “but I’ve learnt to obey my doctor’s orders, rather than be the one issuing the orders. Here, the doctor is absolutely in charge.”

The President spoke while receiving the presidential media team, and the Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters, at Abuja House, London, on Saturday.

Alhaji Lai Mohammed, Minister of Information and Culture, led the visiting team, accompanied by Mr Femi Adesina, Special Adviser on Media and Publicity; Mallam Garba Shehu, Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, and Lauretta Onochie, Personal Assistant on Digital/Online Media.

Also, there was Mrs Abike Dabiri-Erewa, Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters.

According to a statement from Femi Adesina, when the team expressed delight at the much improved health of the President, he retorted: “I feel I could go home, but the doctors are in charge. I’ve now learnt to obey orders, rather than be obeyed.”

On how he felt hearing different conjectures about his health, an amused Buhari said he followed events at home closely, lauding Nigerian television stations, and the media generally, for keeping him informed.

When told that prayers were going on fervently for him, not only in Nigeria, but all over Africa, and round the world, a delighted President said: “What we did in The Gambia early this year fetched us a lot of goodwill on the African continent. It gave us a lot of latitude. I thank all those who are praying. May God reward them.”

We have gone past military coup in Nigeria. Anybody planning one or want to try one is planning and trying to make sure Osibanjo does not become President and this is going to split Nigeria into six solid countries. If Buhari,s health cannot carry the massive burden of serving Nigeria as the top man any more, let him handover over to Osinbanjo and resign honourably and keep his lovely, envious records which is a great envy to his very corrupt colleagues in Nigeria politics. Let him do the needful and let Nigeria move forward. We must demand ZERO tolerance on corruption Buhari or not in Nigeria.

This medical tourism is expanding its coast from foreign African ruler visiting PMB in London to Anglican Archbishop to OBJ & now the lying presidential media aide led by the master of all liars Mr Liar Mohd our honourable minister of Disinformation has join the band wagon & it’s another season 4 & 5 of photo shop. Another visitation by PDP governors to PMB, this is just to waste billions of naira on an unwarranted & useless visit which will never better the lives of the ordinary Nigerians who are suffering courtesy of recession, prices of essential commodities has nuclear rocketed up out of the common Man’s reach, millions of Nigerians have lost their jobs courtesy of their clueless policies, yet they say they are serving the electorate which is the common man & come to think of it the electorates put PMB there in London to rule over Nigeria & not those visiting him. Abeg how much will it cost the presidency for the president to speak to Nigerians on a 30 seconds video & air it on NTA & other national TV & not the foreign media, for Nigerians to see that their president is hail & healthy & not all these visitations & photo shop. The next thing we will hear is that the National Assembly, all first Ladies, Ministers, Traditional rulers, Local govt Chairmen & Councillors etc all these people will be bill to visit Mr president simultaneously.
    I rest my case
    God bless my country Nigeria
