Biafra: MASSOB, IPOB Were Formed To Defraud Igbos – Eze Ezewuiro

Eze Soronnadi Nwabueze Ezewuiro, Mayor of Igbo Nation in Diaspora, has declared that the Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, and the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, are non-Governmental Organisations, NGOs, set up to defraud Igbos.

Ezewuiro maintained that people involved in promoting the groups and Biafra ideology have nothing to do with the interest of Igbos in Nigeria.

Speaking with journalists in Calabar, the Cross River State capital, Ezewuiro lamented that most members of the groups are illiterate.

According to Ezewuiro, “IPOB and MASSOB are NGOs set up by some individual to scam Ndigbo. They only added the ideology of Biafria to their struggle to get followership and platform to scam more people both home and abroad.

“The two organizations are the private NGO of certain individuals and have absolutely nothing to do with the collective interest of the Igbos in the country.

“It’s unfortunate to note that the people who are following the leaders of these organizations are illiterates who are carried away by false propaganda.

“Biafra soldiers are rotting away at Oji River in Enugu State and the so called proponents of Biafra are making money from traders and then doing nothing to rehabilitate these people.

“Mr. Ralph Uwazuirike set up his personal NGO and called MASSOB claiming to be crusading the interest of the so called Biafra in the South South, South East.

“MASSOB was his personal NGO which he was using to skim and obtain money from our people overseas who have not come home for some time now”.

  1. Dr. Peter Ejirika,CPA says:

I felt it necessary to address the person who arrogates himself to an institution that is unknown in Ibo land, i.e. the “Eze”. In 1929 my grand mother along with other Ibo Women fought the British introduction of the institution of monarchy with its accompanying tax system hence the event of Ibo Women Tax Revolt of 1929. So Ezewuiro, you are not an Ibo Man because your mother and grand mother did not take part in the Ibo Women Tax Revolt of 1929 and there is no such thing in Ibo land as Eze rather what we have is Age Grade System and is the highest leadership echelon in Ibo Culture but it seems immigrants (Mbierambia) and their descendants have vowed to rewrite Ibo history. To all intents and purposes, IPOB is the present day Ibo Women of 1929 so paper kite eze keep mute.

  3. Okey Collins says:

Mr. Eze Ezewuiro. I don’t know your educational background but to suggest that followers of IPOB and MASSOB are illiterates is a logical fallacy. This generation of freedom fighters are bold, fearless, proud , knowledgeable and would do Igbos proud-mark my word. Don’t be deceived.

  4. McChuqs Kings says:

This is typical example of an elderly fool who accuses truth of lies. The kind of this man is ready to sacrifice all his children for a single pot of pottage… Ask him how much he has and has contributed to the welfare of IPOB cum MASSOB.

  5. Cristie-ijedinma Atuh says:

If you keep playing victim, and admit yourself to be victim, you will be victim. If however you are Christian, and know who you truly are in Christ and admit to that, confess to that and insist on that no matter what, then you will be exactly the more than conqueror Christ calls you. The problem is your belief and your mindset. Who really are you.

  6. Chinasa Aguocha says:

Any person that speaks against efforts to restore Biafra shall be killed by God of Biafraland. Any person that wishes Biafran people to remain slaves to Hausa/Fulani people shall not live to see the coming of Biafra. All hail Biafra!
