Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode has advised the Federal Government on how to put a stop to the unending calls for a Biafra nation.
According to Fani-Kayode, agitations by groups such as the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Movement for the Actualisation of the Sovereign State of Biafra (MASSOB), Biafra Independence Movement (BIM), Biafra Zionists Federation (BZF) and others would cease when the agitators are treated with “love”.
The vocal ex-minister made this known in a Wednesday tweet via his verified Twitter handle.
Fani-Kayode added that there could never be peace until the cause of the agitations were addressed to the satisfaction of the parties concerned.
He reminded the government that Biafra agitators could not be compelled into believing in one Nigeria without their grievances being adequately addressed.
He also described as untrue the belief that agitators standing up to the military were stupid.
“One Nigeria by armoured tanks is slavery,” he said.
U see young Igbo men and women standing in front of military amoured tanks and u call it stupidity. No that is not stupidity:that is how much they hate being called Nigerians. One Nigeria by armoured tanks is slavery. If u want them to drop their agitation treat them with love.
