The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu Friday resurfaced In Jerusalem a year after the Nigerian military raided his home in Afaraukwu Ibeku, Umuahia in Abia State where he was last seen.
The sudden reappearance of the IPOB leader has just as expected heated the polity.
In the 7-minute video aired live on Facebook on Friday from Jerusalem, the aide of the Biafran leader amongst many things he said revealed that “They are out for the final battle.”
However, the social media is currently agog with news of the return of the Biafran leader. Adeyanju Deji, a social media activist took to Twitter to advise Nnamdi Kanu not to call for an election boycott as he did during the 2017 gubernatorial election in Anambra State, because according to him, such call would help Buhari get a second term.
See how other Nigerians on social media are reacting to news of his re-emergence…
@OurMumuDonDo – Following several outcries from the OurMumuDonDo Movement and well-meaning Nigerians the world over, we are highly pleased to see that the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu, is alive and well.
We must never stop demanding for answers when puzzled.
@ogundamisi – So @MBuhari did not kill Nnamdi Kanu as alleged abi. @osita_chidoka I beg una owe us some explanation, all the blackmail and allegations against @HQNigerianArmy was all towards #NigeriaDecides2019 was this the plan all along? Is @atiku and Peter Obi part of the Fraud?
@adeyanjudeji – I hear Nnamdi Kanu is back again.
I guess he wants to play a role in the 2019 elections. My advise to him is simple:
Don’t mess it up again this time around. He had a fantastic opportunity the last time & messed it up by calling on people to boycott Anambra polls.
@chiyfrank – Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, Leader of Indigenous People of #Biafra
seen praying in Jerusalem wall today 19/Oct /2018.
Tell my brethren I have risen!
@HonEmmanuel7 – If obasanjo can agree with @atiku to chase out Buhari, I bet you that Nnamdi Kanu would comply with one Nigeria just to oust the tyrant at @AsoRock.
Biafran referendum is more feasible with @atiku than buhari.#[email protected]
