Budget 2019: “Behave, The World Is Watching”, Buhari Cautions Jeering Lawmakers

Some lawmakers on Wednesday, put up an offensive against President Muhammadu Buhari as he arrived the National Assembly for the presentation of the 2019 budget.

The President who was prompt in rising up to the situation, however, cautioned the lawmakers who jeered at him, telling them to behave themselves, saying, that the world was watching them.

“May I remind the Hon members that the world is watching. We are supposed to be above this.”

It was somewhat a dramatic atmosphere at the joint sitting of the lawmakers, as the opposition People’s Democratic Party (PDP) lawmakers, for a moment continued jeering President Buhari, as he presented the budget, while their All Progressives Congress (APC) counterparts kept on cheering him.

    What is Buhari afraid of about the world watching him being jeered? didn’t the world watch him killing unarmed Biafran women and children? Was the world not there when he embarked on ethnic cleansing without them raising an eye brow? So what’s difference will it make if the world watch him being ridiculed?
