“God is wonderful”, the striker of Tottenham Hotspur said in an interview after what had been the best performance of his career.
Lucas Moura scored a hat-trick (three goals in one match) against Ajax Amsterdam in the second leg of the semi-finals of the 2019 Champions league. In the half time, the English team was 2-0 down (agg 3-0 after the defeat in the home game) and needed to score three goals.
The Brazilian player became the hero as he scored the crucial goal in the 96th minute. Tottenham Hotspur will play its first Champions League final ever on June 1. Just after the victory, Lucas Moura uploaded an Instagram post with the Bible verse: “For with God, nothing shall be impossible. Luke 1:37”
– A STRONG FAITH IN JESUS –
Lucas Moura is very open about his Christian faith. He says his football skills are “a talent God gave me”. “Not only do I believe that it is a great gift from God and I believe that if he gave me this talent, this gift it is because he wants to use me in this environment, in the midst of football, He wants to fulfil some purpose of him through football”, he said in an interview with website xtheline.co.uk.
His performances as a football star are important, but it is not the most important. “No doubt, every player wants to be remembered for everything he did in the field, for the performances, for the titles, I also want this. However, I also want to be remembered mainly by my example as a person, I want to be remembered as a man of God, a person with good attitude, I believe that is what matters most, the character, the good example of a person who helps people to find God. I want to be remembered for that”.
Moura became a committed follower of Jesus Christ when he played in France with Paris Saint Germain (2013-2018). “My whole family are practically Catholic so was I until I left Brazil in 2013, where I also considered myself a Catholic, but I did not practice, I did not attend mass, I did not do anything that made me different really, nothing”.
But “after I arrived in France, I met people who came to work with me and in a very simple and very wise way they were showing me the Word of God, the Bible, showing me more about Jesus”, he told Cross The Line, a ministry focused on sports and faith.
“Coinciding with this at the time, I began to have difficulties, I was missing home, I was missing Brazil and it got me thinking a lot. I began to interest myself in what these people were saying to me and so I started to read the Bible and started to get the grasp God’s love for me. From there on, it was very fast and I began to understand the message and I fell in love with reading the Bible and I fell in love with the gospel of Christ”.
– THE FINAL, AGAINST LIVERPOOL –
Lucas Moura has been a Brazilian international 35 times. Tottenham Hotspur will face Liverpool FC in the 2019 Champions League final. The ‘Reds’ also had an outstanding performance as they beat FC Barcelona (agg-4-3). Liverpool’s manager Jürgen Klopp is also a committed Christian.
Cristiano Ronaldo Poses Topless In The Gym With Sisters
Cristiano Ronaldo might be locked down in Madeira but he is clearly not letting himself go amid the Coronavirus crisis.
The Juventus forward retreated to his native island towards the start of the month after his mother suffered a stroke and he has decided to stay there as COVID19 spread across the world.
While the Serie A season has been suspended, Ronaldo has been staying at a luxury villa that overlooks the Atlantic Ocean.
And the 35-year-old has kept up his famously stringent workout regime, posing in a photo that his sister Katia uploaded to her Instagram.
The Portuguese forward showed off his six-pack and incredible dorsal muscles, and pulled up his shorts in trademark style as he stood with members of his family, including his niece Alicia and other sister Elma.
Ronaldo was in top form during the season before Serie A was suspended, and had hit a staggering 13 goals in his last 11 matches in all competition.
He has also been clear to his followers that they must follow the government advice and stay at home: “If you ever dreamed of playing for millions around the world, now is your chance. Play inside, play for the world.”
It was revealed over the weekend that Ronaldo will join forces with his agent Jorge Mendes to help fund the fight against coronavirus in Portugal.
AS report that Mendes has spent a significant amount of money buying 200,000 gowns and three ventilators for the hospital in Porto, where a National Institute of Medical Emergency (INEM) field tent has been set up to facilitate with operations due to a flood of coronavirus patients.
Man City Coach Guardiola And Lionel Messi Donate €1MILLION Each To Help Fight COVID-19

The former FC Barcelona boss gave the money to the Medical College of Barcelona to buy “medical equipment that is currently lacking in health centres in Catalonia,” the body said in a statement.
His donation will also be used to produce ventilators to treat patients and protective gear for health care workers in Guardiola’s northeastern region of Spain.
Meanwhile Barcelona’s Hospital Clinic said it had received a donation from FC Barcelona captain Lionel Messi to help it fight the virus.
“Thank you Leo, for your support and commitment,” the hospital added in a tweet.
While the hospital did not say how much money the player donated, Catalan sports daily Mundo Deportivo said it was one million euros.
With the pandemic spreading across the world, Spain has been one of the worst-hit countries, logging the third highest number of deaths with the latest toll standing at 2,696, and the total number of infections nearing 40,000.
