Former Liverpool star Don Hutchison has taken to Twitter to express his admiration for Villarreal ace Samuel Chukwueze, after the youngster’s man-of-the-match performance in Nigeria’s 2-1 win against South Africa – an AFCON 2019 semifinal match.
Chukwueze displayed an attacking masterclass for the Super Eagles in the quarterfinal match at the Cairo international Stadium and hit the winning goal in the 2-1 victory.
The 20-year-old became the 2019 AFCON finals’ youngest scorer. It was also his first senior international goal for Nigeria.
Former midfielder Hutchison said in a Twitter conversation about Chukwueze: “What a player mate. English clubs won’t have the balls to go for him. I’ve told loads of scouts/coaches Etc about him! Going right to the top.”

The winger was linked with a switch to Liverpool earlier this year, and he certainly seems to have the blessing of former Red Hutchison.
Chukwueze is a terrific dribbler with blistering pace. His performance against South Africa was superb, and Liverpool could do worse than to make an offer for him this summer.
Jurgen Klopp arguably needs more cover for Mohamed Salah and Sadio Mane in the wide areas, with Xherdan Shaqiri and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain preferring to play centrally.
Chukwueze could be a fine addition, and a potential cheaper alternative to Lille star Nicolas Pepe.
After the match against South Africa, Chukwueze told the media: “I feel so happy to be named as Man-of-the-match because it has not been easy for me and the team. I have been working so hard.”

BREAKING: Manchester United Agree To Extend Ighalo’s Loan Deal From Chinese Club
Manchester United have agreed on a deal to extend Odion Ighalo’s loan until the end of January 2021, pending formal approval.
Ighalo initially joined Manchester United in a Deadline Day move from Shanghai Shenhua in January and scored four times in eight appearances in all competitions prior to the suspension of the Premier League.
According to Skysports, his current deal at Shenhua runs out in December 2022 and he will be expected to sign a contract offer until the end of 2024 worth £400,000 a week.
Similarly, Ighalo’s agent has confirmed the forward is set to extend his stay at Manchester United for another seven months.
He will now miss the majority of the 2020 Chinese Super League season, which is scheduled to begin in June.
Shanghai’s original stance was that they would only agree to extend his loan if an obligation to buy was incorporated into the deal, with Ighalo likely to cost upwards of £20m.
However, with border restrictions potentially preventing Ighalo from returning to China in time for the new season, Ighalo’s parent club have softened their stance and have allowed him to extend his stay at Old Trafford.
Additionally, Ighalo made a personal request to his parent club to extend his time at United, with the boyhood fan keen to finish what he started after netting four goals in eight appearances since joining on deadline day.

Premier League Set To Resume On June 17
Premier League football is poised to return after a three-month shutdown, with top-flight games in England provisionally set to resume on Wednesday, June 17.
The resumption of soccer in England follows Germany’s Bundesliga, which began play last week. It adds momentum to a comeback of sports, with several North American leagues also making plans to find a way back to play. Serie A, which has been suspended since March 10 in hard-hit Italy, announced on Thursday that it would also return, on June 20.
The Premier League’s return would come after weeks of uncertainty amid disagreement among teams over the possibilities. Germany’s successful return to action earlier this month, with the league completing two rounds of action without incident, helped build consensus among executives of England’s leading teams who would have faced huge losses should the season be called off.
The agreement still requires final clearance from British authorities.
In recent days, momentum had been building that the league would return to action after similar moves to complete the season without fans in a growing number of leagues across Europe. English teams earlier this week agreed to protocols for the resumption of full contact practice, a necessary step before competing in games again.
The first games on the schedule will be Aston Villa hosting Sheffield United and Arsenal’s visit to Manchester City. Those games were postponed earlier in the season because of a clash in the calendar.
Several setbacks had suggested that the Premier League might not find a solution to completing the season. Some players raised doubts about returning to action during the pandemic, and a number of smaller teams objected to the possibility of having to play the remaining games at neutral sites. Some of the more high-profile games are almost certain to be played at secondary venues to help manage crowds.
