Renowned Ghanaian female counselor, Rev. Dr. Charlotte Oduro in a recent submission has indicated the consequences of having occasions such as ‘baby showers’ in our part of the world.
According to her, occasions such as ‘baby showers’ brings witches and bad spirits to someone’s home.
She indicated that Africans are copying foreign things and living their lives like God doesn’t exist again.
“When ladies marry these days they do not think about prayer. They think about the bridesmaids they will get, the best men they will get and later the baby shower…I don’t know where that thing is coming from. Now we are picking the foreign things and we inviting witches around.
We are putting Christ aside and we are living our lives that is why we are seeing what we are seeing because we think God doesn’t exist again. We think we have our right to do what we are doing…my dear before you came to this world God was already there,” she said.

“However, trouble started on Thursday when the victim left home to fix her hair and did not return until the next day.
“She equally left the house on Friday under the guise of visiting her father but ended up seeing another man.
“Ifeanyichukwu got to know on Saturday when she returned by scrolling through her phone and saw her chats, video calls and pictures of herself naked which she sent to her client,” Elkana said.
He said that the suspect (Ifeanyichukwu) became angry and used the petrol he kept for his generator to set her ablaze.
“A team of detectives visited the scene and the victim has been taken to General Hospital, Igando where she was admitted but died in the early hours of Sunday.
“The Lagos State Commissioner of Police, Hakeem Odumosu has directed the immediate transfer of the case to Criminal Investigation Department Yaba.

Why We Are Against New Marriage Certificate Law – PFN
The Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria (PFN), has described the newly introduced marriage certificate law by the federal government as exploitative and an attempt to commercialize Christian marriages in the country.
Speaking through it’s National President, Rev. (Dr.) Felix Omobude, the PFN chided the Ministry of Interior for imposing what it called “anti-Christian law” on the church in Nigeria.
The federal government, had, through the Ministry of Interior recently announced a compulsory N30,000 licence charge for Christian worship centres for the conduct of statutory marriages in churches and N21,000 charge for each marriage certificate issued.
But Omobude in a statement he personally signed on Sunday in Benin, Edo state, said the new law is targeted at the church.
He added that the PFN would use all legitimate means to make the federal government rescind on the new marriage certificate law.
“This is very unfair and to the best of our understanding, the new law is targeted against the Church because the traditional and Islamic weddings are exempted from paying the new marriage certificate fees.
“PFN is at a loss as to why Church marriages should be in the exclusive list of the nation’s constitution.
“The PFN, therefore calls on the federal government to immediately shelve the unpopular policy targeted against Christian marriages in the country.
“If the Ministry of Interior is in dire need of funds, it should look elsewhere and resist the temptation of placing extra financial burden on the Christians and their churches,” Omobude said.
