Ekweremadu: We Can’t Achieve Biafra Attacking Igbo Leaders – MASSOB

Published

The Movement for the Actualization of the Sovereign State of Biafra, MASSOB, has condemned and apologised for Saturday’s assault, physical attack and disrespectful actions of some Igbos against Senator Ike Ekweremadu in Germany.

MASSOB said it confirmed through the Spokesman of Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, Emma powerful, that Ekweremadu’s attackers were members of IPOB in Germany.

MASSOB is the premier pro-Biafra group that in 1999 resumed agitation for restoration of Republic of Biafra after the defunct country was reintegrated into Nigeria at the end of civil war in 1970

MASSOB spokesman, Samuel Edeson in statement on Sunday said it was disheartening that some groups have turned the non violent struggle for the actualization of Biafra state into an abusive and systematic gestapo against the citizens of Biafra.

It described the physical attack on Ike Ekweremadu by IPOB as not commendable, noting that Igbo culture abhors disrespect of elders and persons in authority.

The group said that if actually Senator Ekweremadu was sabotaging or has sabotaged Biafra struggle as alleged by IPOB, the Nnamdi Kanu led IPOB did not take meaningful and acceptable steps to draw the attention of Ekweremadu to the alleged degradation.

Edeson said: “MASSOB as a leading figure of current Biafra agitation advice other pro Biafra groups including IPOB that Igbo political leaders are not the major obstacle of our chances of achieving independence from Nigeria state.

“The major hurdle militating against the freedom of Biafra people from Nigeria is non cohesion and brotherhood among the leaders of leading pro Biafra groups.

“The tendency of superiority complex on ideology and the spirit of lordship over others are the detrimental tendencies grossly affecting the freedom of Biafrans.

“Ike Ekweremadu and other perceived and alleged enemies of Biafra are not our major obstacle against Biafra. IPOB can never actualize Biafra alone, neither MASSOB, LNC, BNC, BIM and others operating individually can’t achieve Biafra alone.

“Biafra will be more achievable when a strong coalition of MASSOB, IPOB, Lower Niger Congress, BNC, BIM and others from Niger Delta regions are established under a collegiate leadership.

“The tendency of grooming authoritarian leadership under any guise in Igbo land and Biafra in general will never be tolerated because the republican nature of Igbo man does not allow such authoritative and empirical rulership.

“MASSOB also condemns the directive to attack the governors of southeast. Consciously attacking a governor will never give us Biafra but will continue sending our youths to untimely deaths because every attack on a governor will attract the trigger happy Hausa/Fulani security agents in Igbo land to open fire on our defenceless youths and claim the governors ordered the killings.

“MASSOB apologize to Chief Ike Ekweremadu for the physical assault on his person at Germany during the Igbo traditional ceremony of iri ji.

“We urge Senator Ekweremadu to regard the assault as a family affair between a father and his children. Hausa Fulanis and other enemies of Ndigbo are happy but we must shame them when they see you in a cordial relationship with your people.

“MASSOB calls and extend a hand of fellowship to IPOB led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, BIM led by Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, BNC led Alhaji Dokubo Asari and other pro Biafra groups to rally together in the true spirit of Biafra and defend Biafra land from the Fulani invaders and marauders.

Propagandas and talking on radio/newspaper; people’s opinions on social media will never give us Biafra. Let’s unite and confront our common enemy. Though our governors and other leaders are not assisting the Biafra struggle, we can engage them traditionally, not insulting them.”

We Do Not Expect Everybody To Support Biafra Agitation — Nnamdi Kanu

Published

on

Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Nnmadi Kanu on Sunday vowed they are prepared to sacrifice the last drop of their blood to restore Biafra saying he does not expect everybody that bears a Biafran name to support wholeheartedly the move IPOB is making to ensure that freedom is restored in Igboland.

“We urge the good people of Biafra not to be unduly burdened when certain comments designed to pander to the Fulani Caliphate are uttered by some individuals or politicians as we march ever so remorselessly to our destination which is freedom for Biafra.

Kanu said in a statement by his Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful that these misguided individuals should therefore be pitied rather than condemned.

“Our position against the flawed foundational structures upon which our British colonial masters constructed the fraudulent edifice Flora Shaw originally named Nigga-area later anglicised to Nigeria by her lover Frederick Luggard must not be allowed to stand.

“It doesn’t matter what ignorant neo-colonial slaves say or do, the Fulani Caliphate will continue to use unity of Nigeria as an excuse to continue their age long camping of mass murder, genocide and ethnic cleansing as millions watch on impotently under the guise of keeping a British colonial product one.”

He said: “Each person is entitled to his or her opinion about whether to be a free soul or to continue living as the glorified slave. For us in IPOB, we have chosen to be free but we shall let those that wish to be enslaved to continue to do so till eternity. It’s all about choice.”

He reiterated that “we are not expecting every person to support Biafra agitation as long as we know that currently 99.9 per cent of our people are in support of the movement IPOB is making towards our quest for Biafra independence.

“We are not perturbed by the utterances of a few compromised politicians and their shameless agents, who because of their desire to please their slave masters, are ever ready to sabotage our collective interest. A million of them cannot deter us in our quest and unstoppable march to restore Biafra in the shortest possible time.”

“We are equally aware that Biafran politicians serving Nigeria in Abuja and other places took an oath to be ‘faithful, loyal and honest’ to Nigeria which for some of them means subjugating their fellow citizens to the devilish whims of the caliphate masters in core north. So, we expect them to honour their pledge the same way those of us serving Biafra in different capacities have pledged to serve her with the last drop of our blood and make sure it comes into existence in our time.

“The ungodly statements from Biafra politicians is an encouragement to us because it only serves to fire up our determination to restore our lost identity and freedoms. We quite understand that they are under the influence of whatever it is their masters fed to them but in time they shall all be put to shame or worse.

“IPOB is well organised the world over and solidly built on an immovable rock. Mere words cannot change our strategy nor will it dent our resolve to restore Biafra in every truth and honesty. But our assurance to them is that in the end, they will regret their actions. The day of reckoning is fast approaching.”

“Nnamdi Kanu Is My Leader” — Uche Mefor Clears Air On Alleged Rift With IPOB Leader

Published

on

The Deputy leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) Uche Mefor has cleared the air on purported rift with leader of the pro-Biafra group, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu.

Recently, the social media space was filled with news of Mefor’s alleged disagreement with Kanu.

It all started after Mefor publicly advised that IPOB should not get involved with religious politics but rather focus on the struggle for an independent Biafra nation.

Mefor’s advise came against the backdrop of Kanu’s attack on Christianity and pastors during one of his recent broadcasts.

Clearing the air on the alleged misunderstanding between him and his Principal, Mefor wrote:

“The leader of IPOB is Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, my leader.

“Our conscious quest for/commitment to the guarantee of all the human rights and fundamental freedoms of all is the only way of guaranteeing of the viable, virile and egalitarian Biafran state we aspire to. It is the Biafra with the capacity to defend her citizens from aggression by the enemies and where rule of law reigns supreme with the attendant strong regulatory and enforcement institutions. This is ultimately an inexonerable reality and the irreducible minimum. We have no choice here!

“**Note*This is part of our periodic public interest devotional on this our collective quest for our collective self-emancipation.”

“To Hell With Your Biafra” — Uwazuruike Roasts Nnamdi Kanu

Published

on

Founder of Biafra Independence Movement (BIM) Chief Ralph Uwazuruike has said that Biafra should not be realized if it would be a place where elder statesmen and religious leaders would be insulted and dehumanised.

He lambasted the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, for using the London-based Radio Biafra to haul insults and abuses on Igbo leaders and elders.

Uwazurike said this in a statement signed by his Special Assistant on Social Media Matters, Comrade Emma N. Nnadi, and made available to reporters on Sunday.

He said Kanu, who he trained as one of his directors in the struggle, was now using the Radio Biafra to insult and blackmail “our elder statesmen like Chief Pete Edochie, Nnia Nwodo, Church and Muslim leaders in the country.”

Uwazuruike apologized to all the people that have been insulted by Nnamdi Kanu and the IPOB and blackmailed by Radio Biafra or any other Biafra news channels anywhere in the world.

He stated that in the new world order, the right of individuals to freedom of worship is allowed, stressing that “as Biafrans, we are not religious bigots.

“If the new Biafra will be a country where the freedom of religious worship will not be guaranteed, to hell with it.

“If the new Biafra as a country will not be better than Nigeria, to hell with it.

“If the new Biafra will be a nation where someone like Chief Pete Edochie, Senator Ike Ekweremadu, Chief Nnia Nwodo, Alhaji Asari Dokubo (Elabo Edi Abali) and every other elders of the church in the land will be insulted and abused with all cheerful boldness, to hell with it” .

“Ndigbo should forgive the uncouth and irresponsible character” of Nnamdi Kanu.
