The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has told political office holders of Igbo extraction to repent in order to avert the kind of attacks which its members meted out to Senator Ike Ekweremadu, last week in Nuremberg, Germany.
Mr Chika Edoziem, the organisation’s Head of Directorate of State, stated this in a press statement he made available to pressmen in Awka, Anambra State.
It said that political leaders from the South-East can still make amends by turning a new leaf, but stated that if they refused, members of the organization will continually attack them overseas.
IPOB added that it was considering adding the entire political leaders in Nigeria into its attack list, saying that they have continually impoverished Nigerians while investing in posh houses abroad and also educating their children in the best institutions of the world.
“Morally upright people from around the world have commended the Indigenous People of Biafra for once again showing Nigerians the path that will lead them to liberation, that is, if they wish to be liberated.
“As for we Biafran people, our objective is clearly set before us and our destination is a liberated and fully sovereign Biafran nation.
“Taa kabu gboo (opportunity still exists) for every politician of Biafran extraction slavishly serving the Islamic Sokoto Caliphate to retrace their steps and avoid this certainty of this onrushing rage from the masses and true owners of the land.
“This battle which IPOB has embarked upon will be at a time, place and methodology of our own choosing. It is imperative to state that in making that choice, there will be no differentiating between the subservient Biafran politician(s) who see nothing and hear nothing wrong when Biafraland is under Fulani military siege and their caliphate masters that dehumanize, abduct, torture and murder at will.
“As we march ahead in this sacred cause to restore our honor and dignity as a people no obstacle, be it human or material will be allowed to stand in our way. Very soon we shall show Dave Umahi the Fulani slave in Ebonyi Government House that IPOB has not only the capacity and reach but also the power through the grace of Chukwuokike Abiama to achieve our set objectives and fulfill our promise to the living and the dead.”
The separatist group added that, “We are waiting for them and their trumpeters in all the civilized nations of the world. The story of their humiliation will become a subject of study in foreign institutions. Our struggle has shifted to the international arena where every eye will be watching and taking note.”
JUST IN: Biafra Must Be Free — Chiwetalu Agu
Veteran Nollywood Actor, Chiwetalu Agu has said that despite the resistance of the Federal Government of Nigeria, Biafra must become an Independent nation.
The legendary screen god made this submission at his residence in Enugu State during an interview session with BBC News Igbo which was broadcasted live on Facebook.
Mr Agu during the interview that lasted for almost 2 hours noted that he was about 12 years old when the Biafra war started in 1967.
According to him, he participated actively in serving food to the soldiers and wounded people at Amaigbo Hospital located in Orlu, Imo State which means that he was already of age and understand completely what the Igbo people suffered during the 3-year long civil war.
Insisting that the Nigerian state hate the Igbos and have stifled them economically since after the war, Agu stated unequivocally that Biafra will someday get its independence.
The actor used Israel as a case-study when he compared what Igbos are going through in Nigeria to the Jewish people who according to him passed through similar ordeal in the hands of the Egyptians but later became free and even more powerful than Egypt.

“Our Parents’ Death Has Brought Us Closer To Each Other” — Kanu’s Family
The family of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu said that the death of their parents have them to be more united against the belief by some persons that the family would scatter after the burial.
Though their elder brother, Nnamdi who is the first son of the family was absent at their parent’s burial ceremony, the family of late Israel and Ugoeze Sally Kanu said that they were grateful that the burial of their parents was a huge success.
Addressing journalists at their Isiama Afaraukwu country home, the spokesman of the family, Kanunta Kingsley Kanu thanked Abia State police command and journalists for their contributions towards the peaceful and successful burial of their parents.
Kanunta who also commended members of the IPOB in the state and beyond who stood with the family before, during and after the burial said that their parents were an embodiment of peace when they were alive.
He said it was for this reason that his father as the traditional ruler of Afaraukwu, was given the title of ‘Omeudo’, stressing that he lived with that peaceful virtue till death.
Kanunta said the family owed a lot of gratitude to journalists within and outside Abia for bringing what transpired at the burial to the entire world.
“I want to tell you journalists that our family members are happy with you, with what you did during the burial and we say a big thank you”.
Kanu said the family was also thanking the Abia state police command for the manner they conducted themselves which contributed to the peace that reigned during the burial.
The family said it was happy that despite the altercation between the police and IPOB before the burial, the commissioner of police, Ene Okon exhibited true sense of professionalism in the way he maintained security in the state on the day of the burial.
He said now their parents were no more, the family would strive to remain united and resolute in the fight for the actualization of Biafra, a movement which they said that their parents believed in.
‘We’re Ready To Fight Herdsmen’ — IPOB Declares
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has declared readiness to battle Herdsmen while calling on residents of South East to be prepared to defend themselves and land against further slaughter.
It decried the alleged involvement of bandits in what it described as “endless cycle of slaughter and mayhem especially in Biafraland,” particularly with recent killings in Delta State.
Speaking yesterday, IPOB Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful noted that Governor Ifeanyi Okowa’s brave condemnation of Nigerian Army’s involvement in the orgy of violence unleashed by five different terror groups against innocent populations was an indication that the killings were “premeditated slaughter of the defenseless.”
According to him: “IPOB’s message of freedom is the only way out of the present impasse in the fight against state sponsored Fulani terrorism in Nigeria.”
He recalled: “In 2014, before the murderous tendencies of Miyetti Allah was unleashed on hapless Nigerians, way before Fulani herdsmen, bandits, foreign fighters, ISWAP, Ansaru, Al-Qaeda in the Mahgreb descended on innocent citizens, our great leader Mazi Nnamdi Kanu said it live on air during his prophetic message of 6th February, 2014 on Radio Biafra that: “Fulani herdsmen will be armed and encouraged to slaughter us with impunity and their masters will protect them.”
He said: “The US government and her law makers will now pay more attention to all IPOB submissions following this confirmation by Gov. Okowa.”
He vowed that IPOB would resist every attempt by the herdsmen to unleash terror on Biafraland.
“Therefore, we are calling on our people to be prepared because we are going to take on Fulani terrorists in our land.”
