Vice President Yemi Osinbajo has not been let off the hook by a powerful cabal in the presidency, a report by The Guardian indicates.
According to the report, some powerful persons in the seat of power are united in their bid to frustrate Osinbajo ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Sources quoted in the reports say the cabal may have adopted another strategy to facilitate their plot.
One source says they are now bringing together “a new array of forces, including former key federal government officials, and at least, one of his staunchest political allies to wage the ongoing political fight in the presidency.”
ORIENTAL TIMES understands that the former government officials are reportedly those who lost their jobs in circumstances linked to the influence of Osinbajo
ORIENTAL TIMES also gathered that the plot is said to be coordinated by the powerful Chief of Staff to the President, Abba Kyari.
Others allegedly in on the plot are a former Lagos state governor, the former director-general of the Department of State Services (DSS), Lawan Daura and former DG, NIA, Ayo Oke.
ORIENTAL TIMES recalls that the last two, Daura and Oke, were fired under the watch of Osinbajo.
“If you look at all the people Abba Kyari and Babagana Kingibe are bringing together to fight the VP, most of them have one corruption case or the other against their name. They want to stop the VP now because they don’t want to go to jail if the VP ever gets beyond where he is now. They are afraid of their own records,” a source said.
