Fani-Kayode Reacts To Buhari’s ‘No Visa Policy’

Femi Fani-Kayode

Former Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, on Thursday, reacted to President Muhammadu Buhari’s announcement of visa on arrival for citizens of African countries.

Buhari spoke on Wednesday at the opening session of the ongoing Aswan Forum for Sustainable Peace and Development in Africa in Egypt.

He said: “We in Nigeria have already taken the strategic decision to bring down barriers that have hindered the free movement of our people within the continent by introducing the issuance of a visa at the point of entry into Nigeria to all persons holding passports of African countries with effect from January 2020.”

But Fani-Kayode in a statement said the Fulanis of North and West Africa have finally been given what they wanted all along.

“They will flood Nigeria in their millions and within 5 years our demographics will change forever”, the former presidential aide noted. Simply put, visa-free policy for Africans to come into Nigeria is a shameless and subtle attempt to alter the racial and religious demographics of our country and open our front door for mass Fulani, Berber, Taureg and Arab migration into our shores.

“By the time they come here from all over north and west Africa and settle down, we the indigenous people of Nigeria will be a tiny minority. The next thing they will do is to implement RUGA to the letter and take our land and insist on sharia law being implemented all over the country. It is a dangerous, self-serving and self-seeking policy that will ultimately result in great conflict, carnage, racial and religious strife, and total catastrophe.

“In an attempt to implement an ancient agenda of Fulani hegemony and turn us into a conquered and enslaved people Buhari, his born to rule co-travellers and their vast legion of slavish sympathisers and supporters are likely to set Nigeria on fire.

“You will not believe me now just as you did not believe me when I warned about the true nature of Buhari in 2015 and the grave consequences of electing him as President. Yet my words have proved to be prophetic and just as I have been vindicated on Buhari I shall be vindicated on this matter of the grave and dangerous consequences of visa-free mass migration by vagrant, stateless and nomadic Africans into our shores.

“With this irresponsible, unpatriotic, dangerous and self-serving policy, I repeat, we are playing with fire and sitting on a keg of gunpowder which will eventually explode. It will be the final nail in the coffin of a united Nigeria. May God deliver us from the coming evil.”

Ihedioha: PDP To Protest Supreme Court’s Verdict On Imo

Uche Secondus

The National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, Uche Secondus, on Friday proposed that PDP National Executive Committee members embark on a protest against the judgement of the Supreme Court which sacked the PDP Imo State governorship candidate, Chief Emeka Ihedioha, as the duly elected governor of Imo State.

Speaking during its ongoing emergency NEC meeting in Abuja, Secondus said the proposed protest was to impress it on Nigerians that injustice had been done to the party.

He stated that the mandate given to the party by the Imo electorate had been snatched from the party.

According to him, the declaration of the Imo State candidate of the All Progressives Congress, Chief Hope Uzodinma, as the Imo State Governor is a miscarriage of Justice.

He said though the ultimate justice would come from God Almighty, the aggrieved PDP leaders must speak out against injustice as their silence would be taken for consent to the alleged injustice.

Furthermore, the Chairman, PDP Board of Trustees, Senator Walid Jubrin, said he dressed as a warrior in Igbo attire to depict that Nigeria is at ‘war.’

According to him, the alleged injustice in Imo was not only done to the PDP but to all Nigerians.

He stated that the party had not recovered from the alleged injustice.

He said, “Nigeria is getting to an end if we continue this way.”

Also, the 2019 PDP presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, said the PDP and the G34 fought and brought democracy to Nigeria.

He said, “Our party governed very well from 1999 to 2015. As true democrats, we handed over party to the ruling party, hoping that it will deepen democracy, alas we have been disappointed.”

Atiku called for the constitution of a committee to review what happened at the last election and make necessary recommendations.

He said the roles of the Independent National Electoral Commission and security agencies should not be taken for granted.

According to him, taking them for granted would be the end of the struggles of the founding fathers of the party.

“It is our duty to reincarnate the struggles they made that brought the democracy that APC is enjoying,” Atiku submitted.

Ifeanyi Ubah says he has not been sacked as the lawmaker representing Anambra South senatorial district.

Ubah, in a telephone interview with Punch correspondent in Abuja, on Friday, said the FCT Court only refused to vacate its earlier ruling, which had since been faulted on the grounds of jurisdiction.

He explained that Justice Bello Kawu ruled on an application to vacate an earlier judgement of the court on the grounds of lack of jurisdiction and asked the parties to proceed to the Appeal Court.

He said, “The reports of my sacking from the Senate is not correct. I remain the substantive Senator representing Anambra South.”
