Umahi and Nnamdi Kanu, IPOB leader

Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi has said that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, is a deceiver.

Umahi stated that Kanu is using his Biafra cause to defraud gullible Igbo people.

He said, “Our people are being deceived to spend huge amount of money to finance what they know nothing about while Nnamdi Kanu spend it on his personal issues.”

According to the Governor, Kanu has resorted to using cheap lies and blackmails against his government on social media to gain the empathy from some Igbos, asking the public to disregard such information.

This is coming few months after Kanu accused Umahi and the Miyetti Allah of causing the death of Biafrans in Ebonyi.

The IPOB leader had few months ago said on Twitter that: “The brutalization of our people in Ebonyi state will surely be AVENGED.

“This is a formal notice to all, including Miyetti Allah and Dave Umahi that sooner than later, they will account for every injury, torture, and death of every Biafran.”

“How, when and where is left for us to determine.”

However, the Governor said he had to respond to the IPOB leader so as to let the public know his new antics, and be wary of him.

Umahi said IPOB is acting like a dying horse, having now realised that their fraudulent activities in the name of IPOB have been exposed and that Kanu is being used to destabilise Ndigbo by deceiving people into believing that he can give them Biafra.”

Nnamdi Kanu

Nnamdi Kanu, leader of the outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu has said the struggle for the actualisation of sovereign state of Biafra will be accomplished in his life time.

He said this on Sunday in a recorded audio made available to the Nation in Owerri, Imo State.

Kanu said that those asking for Igbo presidency are wasting their time as such agitation was not what the Igbo need but actualisation of Biafra.

“Those asking for Igbo presidency are wasting their time. We don’t need your presidency, what we need is Biafra.”

He vowed that actualisation of sovereign state of Biafra would be realised in his life time as the IPOB was determined to liberate Biafraland from the clutches of darkness.

On the formation of security outfit, he mocked the ability of the South East Governors to form the security outfit in the zone, saying that they would not be able to set up such an outfit without IPOB.

“We are largest movement in the world. The governors from South East cannot form the security outfit without IPOB. We are just keeping quiet to see if they can form it without IPOB and we know they cannot,“ he emphasized.

He wondered why the people are calling on the governors to form security outfit for the zone when it was the governors that connived and supported the Nigerian government to ban IPOB who would have provided security for the people.

He however disclosed that plan was underway for IPOB to roll out a strategy that would protect Ndigbo from frequent attacks by the Fulani herdsmen.
