Ghanaian Musician Backs Pete Edochie, Says ‘I’ll Not Kneel Down Before Any Lady And Propose’

Published

on

A Ghanaian highlife musician, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley has thrown his weight behind veteran Nigerian actor, Pete Edochie who cautioned men against kneeling down before a woman in the name of proposing marriage to her.

Ambolley says he sides with Pete Edochie over not kneeling down to propose to a lady.

When asked on Joy FM about his view on what Pete Edochie said, Gyedu-Blay Ambolley replied,

“I will stand toe to toe with the lady. I will not kneel down before the lady and propose. That’s not me. I will never kneel down either to propose to a lady, because of what??”

Pete Edochie had said:

“Any young man who gets down on his knees to propose to a girl is not just an idiot, he’s a bloody fool, he’s a compound buffoon”

“I believe in the sacrosanctity of our culture, the essence and the core of our culture. The white man knees down to propose to a girl. You know what it means, the girl takes over the family. This is why whenever you disagree with a wife oversea, you are kicked out and your wife takes the house.”

Nigerian investigative journalist, Kemi Olunloyo has reacted to the news of Chioma testing positive for the coronavirus.

Davido made the announcement yesterday that his fiancee, Chioma tested positive for the deadly coronavirus and that he has completely gone into self-isolation.

However, this came as no surprise to the journalist as she already warned the “Risky” singer a few ago after he had to cancel his “A Good Time” Tour because of his likely exposure to the coronavirus.

Talking to her Twitter page, Kemi disclosed that she warned the celebrity couple few days ago before she tested positive but no one listened to her because of her usual rants on social media.

She wrote: I warned Davido and Chioma 11 days ago. People don’t listen to me calling me a mad insane woman. Pls listen to me when I tell you something. It’s because I care.

IG Comedian, Sydney Talker, Cries Out After Reportedly Showing Symptoms Of COVID-19 [VIDEO]

Instagram comedian, Sydney Talker, has publicly called for a Coronavirus test to be carried out on him after reportedly showing symptoms of the viral disease.

In a post shared on his Instagram page, Sydney said sometime last week, he developed mild symptoms of the disease and called the hotlines of the NCDC where he was told they would not be attending to him since he hasn’t shown all the signs and symptoms of the disease, has not had any recent international travel history nor had any contact with a confirmed Coronavirus patient.

According to him, the NCDC and everyone dismissed his claim, attributing it to one of his many skits.

SydneyTalker said his symptoms persisted and he had to call the hotlines of the Lagos State Ministry of Health but no one answered his calls. He said he later contacted them via Twitter and was advised to get cough syrup and mix lemon in hot water and also take a lot of liquid. He said he got relief for two days but on Thursday night, he came down again as he was having serious difficulties breathing.

He was rushed to a private hospital where he was rejected because of his symptoms and referred to the Mainland hospital where Infectious disease patients were being treated.

According to Sydney, he arrived the hospital but the doctors on ground dismissed his claim, saying the symptoms he was showing were not for Coronavirus disease. After much persuasion, the doctors took his samples for testing but refused to admit him.

He was later taken to the Lagos University Teaching Hospital LUTH where the doctors there reportedly told him to go to the Infectious hospital as the symptoms he had were those of COVID-19. He said he was forced to go back home where he is currently taking some medication.

Read his account as posted on his social media pages as well as a video of him reacting to symptoms of COVID-19 below.

Nigerian Afrobeats star David Adeleke popularly known as Davido has announced that his fiancé Chioma has tested positive for the new coronavirus.

Chioma, according to Davido, recently returned from the United Kingdom with their baby.

The baby tested negative, the singer said. In a series of tweets detailing the reveal, he stated that “he decided to take ourselves and our all close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March.”

Hey everyone ! I came back recently from America after cancelling tour. My fiancé Chioma also came back from London recently with our baby. We had no symptoms and still both feel perfectly fine but because of our recent travel history we decided to take ourselves and our all close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March.

Unfortunately, my fiancé’s results came back positive while all 31 others tested have come back negative including our baby. We are however doing perfectly fine and she is even still yet to show any symptoms whatsoever. She is now being quarantined and I have also gone into full self isolation for the minimum 14 days. I want to use this opportunity to thank you all for your endless love and prayers in advance and to urge everyone to please stay at home as everyone to please stay at home as we control the spread of this virus! Together we can beat this!
Love, D ❤
