Published

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide (OYC), has urged the Federal Government to dialogue with the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and other Biafra agitators.

Ohanaeze Youth Council made this call in a statement jointly signed by Mazi Okechukwu Isiguzoro, OYC President General, Comrade Obinna Achionye, OYC Deputy National President General; and Mazi Okwu Nnabuike, OYC Secretary-General.

Ohanaeze urged Asari Dokubo; IPOB’s leader Nnamdi Kanu, Ralph Uwazurike, Uchenna Madu and Ben Onwuka to be patient with the government.

According to Ohanaeze: “We describe the self-determination and non-violent actions of all Biafran agitators, especially the IPOB as the World’s largest Movement of Africans to demonstrate the grievances and passionate aggression towards addressing the perceived persecutions of a section of Nigeria by internal oppressors in a country where human and natural resources are abundantly used unjustly against the goose that lay the golden eggs and her denied fundamental rights and privileges especially as witnessed in the sharing of FG COVID-19 palliative care during the coronavirus pandemic, where North was used to allegedly siphon the money meant for all.

“Ohanaeze Youth Congress urge the central government that there’s urgent need for the total healing of past wounds and distrust that had lingered 50 years after the Biafra War ended.

“There’s no functional solution for peace except for dialogue, and each party drawn up conditions and reach terms for peace. The reported influx of Almajiris to the South has changed the mood of the country, and there should be need for the presidency to dialogue with all agitators, including Oduduwa Warlords, Niger Delta Avengers and Biafran agitators. We’ing for The president of Ghana and ECOWAS to Moderate this inevitable dialogue to avert possible collapse of Nigeria.

“We call on all Biafran agitators, especially IPOB to be peaceful and law-abiding and ensure a change of direction and strategy and end the ferocious struggle through allegations and abuses.

“We appreciate their legitimate role to exploit all peaceful and non-violent activities to expose the pains of old Eastern Region. Nnamdi Kanu, Asari Dokubo, Raph Uwazurike, Uchenna Madu and Ben Onwuka should be patience(sic) and peaceful as the collaborative process will make the sun to rise in the East.”

IPOB Condemns Attack On Members In Anambra Community, Vows To Retaliate

IPOB

Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) has described as distasteful the recent attack against its members by Oba youths in Oba Idemili South Local Government Area of Anambra State.

The group alleged the attack was sponsored by inconsequential politicians working with the Federal Government.

In a statement issued on Wednesday by the Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, IPOB regretted that since the attack by Aborji village youths in Oba, elders of the community have kept sealed lips, vowed not to let the sponsors of the criminals go free unless they atone for their atrocities

The statement partly read, “We the great family of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) worldwide ably led by Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, find distasteful, the recent attack by hired thugs who claimed to be Oba youths in Oba Idemili South LGA of Anambra State against our defenseless women.

“The attack was sponsored by inconsequential politicians working with the Federal Government. They rented some brainwashed Oba youths just to prove to their slave matters in Abuja and Lagos that they are still loyal to them. Those self centered and treacherous Igbo politicians who think IPOB is a weakling will be surprised in no distant future.

“One thing is certain: any Oba youth who was involved in this act will regret being part of this evil act and must pay dearly. It’s imperative we assure those sponsoring these criminals that IPOB will not let them go free unless they atone for their atrocities.

“You cannot commit crime against IPOB women and members who were peacefully celebrating and showcasing African dishes in Oba on Sunday 12th of July 2020 and go free. IPOB operates everywhere in Biafraland and the world at large.

“It is unbelievable that since the attack on these unarmed women in Oba, nobody in Oba or Igbo land has ever come out to condemn this barbaric action of unscrupulous elements among Oba youths against IPOB. Therefore, nobody should blame IPOB when we reciprocate or pay them back in their own coin. The attackers and their sponsors should get ready to reap the fruits of their labour.

“Aborji village youths in Oba that allowed themselves to be used by the enemies against our peaceful mothers and wives should know that they can’t escape justice. Before it gets too late, Oba community leaders should ask them to come now and pay for the their atrocities and the damages the inflicted on innocent and peaceful movement. The earlier they do this the better for them because the day of reckoning is fast approaching.

“All those who participated in this atrocity should realise that we know their identities. There is no hiding place for them. We are calling on Oba elders, leaders and those acclaimed politicians including those who sponsored them to make sure that they release those arrested by Fulani terrorists police. They must also take responsibility for those vehicles and properties destroyed during the attack on IPOB members.

“We are in the know of the plans by the Fulani terrorists government in Nigeria to use some of our Igbo people to set Igbo land on fire but it is quite unfortunate and clear to us that Oba youths and their facilitators are ignorant of this grand plot by their pay masters. Oba youths were deceived and lured into this mess but they must make atonement for their sins or brace up for the consequences of their evil action.”

Buhari: Nnamdi Kanu Faults Femi Adesina Over Biafra

Published

The leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, (IPOB) Nnamdi Kanu, on Saturday disagreed with the statement credited to the Special Adviser to President Muhammadu Buhari on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina that Muhammadu Buhari was not against the people of Biafra.

Kanu described such a statement as “a complete falsehood”, adding that “it can only deceive the gullible but certainly not those familiar with history.”

The IPOB leader who spoke in a statement by his Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful maintained that Biafra citizens had suffered enough persecution and killings at slightest provocation on several occasions.

“The truth rather, is that people of Biafra have continued to be victims of state persecution and calculated elimination.

Biafrans have been slaughtered at the slightest provocation on several occasions since the unholy amalgamation of Nigeria in 1914.

Nigeria Government and her partners in crime are sponsoring the killings and heartless massacre of Biafrans since 1945 till date.

“It is still fresh in our memory how this present Federal Government led by Buhari and his cabals killed innocent, peaceful and unarmed members of IPOB in Aba, Onitsha, Nkpor, Umuahia, Asaba, Igweocha, Enugu, Owerri and other cities. The killings have continued unabated,” he added.

Fulani terrorists, Boko Haram and terrorist groups have continued to slaughter with reckless abandon, Christians in Nigeria particularly Southern Kaduna Indigenes and Biafrans in their farms and villages, yet the Federal Government has done nothing drastic to stop the genocide.

“Ordinary designating the killer herdsmen terrorists has become a difficult task for the Federal Government which ironically tagged unarmed IPOB a terror group with the speed of light.

How does a government which pampers globally acknowledged terror groups but suppresses and kills peaceful agitators want to prove its innocence of bloodshed?”, he queried.

“On their unsubstantiated claims of being the best thing that has happened to Ndi Igbo, IPOB is challenging Femi Adesina, Arthur Eze and their likes in this Government to show Nigerians, Biafrans and World at large what they did and where this government and cabals sited any tangible federal project in Biafraland.

“It is very appalling that the Federal Government would not show where their imaginary projects are located in the South East since 5 years this government took over office on 29th of May 2015.

We wonder why Nigeria government will claim to have executed 69 different projects, and spent N680 billion in South East alone without showing or mentioning where those projects are sited.

“We are leaving Nigeria in the shortest possible time. Time for this fake, concocted and deceptive news has gone and there is nothing anybody can do to change our resolve to restore Biafra freedom and independence from Nigeria.”

IPOB at UN

The outlawed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), has stated that they are in talks with the United Nations to hold a referendum for a sovereign state of Biafra.

In a statement by the group’s Media and Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, the group claimed that they were making efforts to ensure the referendum which will be organized by the UN will take place soon.

According to Powerful, the referendum would be peaceful, and that everybody that lives within ‘Biafra territory’ would vote according to their conscience, calling a UN supervised referendum ‘a must’

He said, “It is quite clear and understandable to every citizen of Biafra and indeed the entire world that we need a referendum, where the people will exercise their right on whether or not they want self-rule or continued existence within Nigeria.

“A UN-supervised referendum is a must and a right for every human being in Nigeria to unequivocally state where they wish to belong.

“We in IPOB and Biafrans in general expect the United Nations to supervise this referendum, which will enable even those living beyond the boundaries of Biafra to equally determine their own fate. We want freedom for all, not just for Biafrans alone.”

“IPOB is making frantic efforts to ensure that this happens in the shortest possible time. We are not going to force or intimidate anyone or tribe because the will of the people is sacrosanct and must be respected. Each individual will be allowed to decide where he or she wishes to belong.”
