A white American man, Brandon McCormick got severely beaten Saturday after pulling an arrow on citizens protesting the death of George Floyd at the hands of a Minneapolis police officer.
He also had his car turned over and set on fire.
The incident occurred in downtown Salt Lake City in Utah.
A Twitter user, @Gingersonfire posted a video of the incident, explaining that, “He got out of his car, yelled ‘that’s it’, and shot into the crowd before being tackled.”
“He was yelling and me, and then aimed his bow at a black man standing behind me. The black man saw it coming, charged, and tackled him,” the poster added.
McCormick told a reporter he got beaten up after yelling “All Lives Matter” to protesters echoing “Black Lives Matter”.
He added that he pulled out the weapon after the beating and got beaten again, leaving his face bloodied.

US Carries Out First Federal Execution In 17 Years, Putting White Supremacist Daniel Lewis Lee To Death By Lethal Injection
The Trump administration has carried out first federal execution in 17 years, putting White Supremacist Daniel Lewis Lee to death.
Daniel Lewis Lee, a convicted killer, was executed on Tuesday morning, July 14, in the first federal execution in 17 years after the Supreme Court reversed lower court ruling and ruled federal executions could proceed.
He received a lethal dose of the powerful sedative pentobarbital in Terre Haute, Indiana,
According to a pool report, Lee was pronounced dead by the coroner at 8:07 a.m. ET in Terrre Haute, Indiana. His last words were “I didn’t do it. I’ve made a lot of mistakes in my life but I’m not a murderer. You’re killing an innocent man.”
Lee, a one-time white supremacist was convicted in Arkansas of the 1996 killings of gun dealer William Mueller, his wife, Nancy, and her 8-year-old daughter, Sarah Powell, dumping their bodies in a lake.
Several executions were initially delayed when a judge ruled on Monday that there were still unresolved legal challenges. But the Supreme Court cleared the way for the resumption of the federal death penalty in an unsigned order released, wiping away a lower court order temporarily blocking the execution of Lee in a 5-4 vote as 5 conservative judges voted in favour while four voted against the execution.
The supreme court in an unsigned opinion said that the prisoners’ “executions may proceed as planned,” with Lee’s execution scheduled for about 4 a.m. EDT Tuesday, according to court papers.
Here are three more federal executions that are scheduled in the near future.
Wesley Ira Purkey, who was sentenced in Missouri in 2003 for the rape and murder of a 16-year-old girl whose body he dismembered, burnt and dumped in a septic pond, is due to be executed on Wednesday.
Dustin Lee Honken, sentenced in Iowa in 2004 for shooting dead five people including two girls aged six and 10, is due to be executed on Friday.
Keith Dwayne Nelson, sentenced in Missouri in 2001 for the rape and murder of a 10-year-old girl behind a church, is set to be executed next month.
New Polls Show Biden Leading Trump Ahead Of Elections
New polls released Sunday night, July 12, show Democrat presidential challenger and former Vice President Joe Biden is leading President Donald Trump in two major states — Texas and Florida — vital states that Donald Trump won in 2016.
The polls conducted by CBS/YouGov, shows Biden leading Trump 46 to 41 in Texas, with 14 per cent undecided. The two men were tied at 43-43 in the same poll in April.
The same poll has Biden also leading 46 to 42 in Florida, a critical battleground state.
In Arizona, they are tied at 46 per cent. Trump won Arizona by less than 2 percentage points in 2016.
Surprisingly, all three states are getting increased rates of coronavirus, infections, with Florida reporting a stunning 15,000 infections in a single day Sunday, and the state’s 270,000 now rank higher than Spain or France.
There is the exception of Georgia, where Trump leads Biden 48 to 45. Georgia is a strong Republican state.
Arizona, where Trump held a campaign event in a megachurch last month, is experiencing its own spike, in a state where immigration remains a driving issue.
Biden and Trump are set to battle for the US presidency in November 2020.
Trump Finally Wears Mask In Public [PHOTOS]
U.S. President Donald Trump surprised the world by wearing a mask in public for the first time since the outbreak of the novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic.
Trump had previously refused to wear masks in public, although he had said he would if in a crowd and could not maintain physical distance from others.
He had come under sharp criticisms even from his fellow Republican Party members, who said his stance showed lack of example or leadership.
He finally did that during a visit to the Walter Reed National Military Medical Centre outside Washington where he met wounded soldiers and frontline healthcare workers.
